Terms & Disclaimer
Last updated: 2026-06-28
Please read these Terms carefully. By using CP2000 Helper you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Independent — not affiliated with the IRS
CP2000 Helper is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or any other government agency. "CP2000" is the name of a type of notice the IRS sends; we use the term only to describe the notices this tool helps you organize.
Educational and organizational tool only
CP2000 Helper is an educational and organizational tool. It is not tax advice and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, or professional advice. It helps you understand and organize an IRS CP2000 notice and prepare draft response materials based on the information you provide — it does not tell you what you should do.
No professional relationship
Using CP2000 Helper does not create any professional, fiduciary, or advisory relationship — including an attorney-client, CPA-client, enrolled-agent-client, or any other tax-professional relationship — between you and CP2000 Helper or anyone associated with it.
No determination of tax liability
CP2000 Helper does not determine your tax liability. It summarizes the notice and prepares draft response materials based on the information you provide.
No representation before the IRS
CP2000 Helper does not represent you before the IRS or any other tax authority. For representation, retain an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or tax attorney.
No outcome guarantee
We do not guarantee any particular result. In particular, we do not guarantee that the IRS will accept any response prepared with this tool, that it will reduce any proposed amount, stop any notice, or resolve the matter, or that using CP2000 Helper will reduce or avoid any tax, penalties, or interest, prevent an audit, further notices, or other IRS action, or lead to any particular outcome. We do not predict the outcome of your case.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of any information you enter. You are also responsible for reviewing all outputs, checking your IRS notice, verifying all facts, deciding what, if anything, to send, and submitting any response yourself. You must review all generated materials — including the notice summary, response strategy, evidence checklist, mailing checklist, and draft response letter — carefully before mailing, faxing, or otherwise sending anything to the IRS.
Deadlines
CP2000 Helper does not provide emergency, urgent, or last-minute service, and does not guarantee that a response can be prepared or sent in time. You are responsible for the response deadline shown on your notice and for submitting your response by that date.
When to consult a tax professional
CP2000 Helper does not replace a qualified tax professional. You should seek professional review — from an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or tax attorney — for complex, high-value, late, uncertain, or disputed matters. Examples where professional help is strongly recommended include notices involving business income, investment income, retirement distributions, stock sales, crypto, foreign income, or partnership income; matters spanning multiple tax years; situations involving significant penalties or interest; notices where the response deadline has already passed; cases where the proposed amount is large; and cases where you have already received follow-up correspondence from the IRS about this notice.
Automated processing and its limitations
CP2000 Helper uses automated processing, including AI, to read uploaded notices and to help prepare draft materials. Information you upload or enter may be misread, extracted incorrectly, incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, or misunderstood, and generated text may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. Always verify all information and materials for accuracy and completeness before relying on them or sending anything.
Third-party services
CP2000 Helper relies on third-party service providers to operate and to process information you upload or enter. How that information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Service availability and changes
We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Access may be limited, interrupted, or discontinued.
Current version
This product may contain errors. Features, availability, and behavior may change as the product evolves.
Payments and refunds
CP2000 Helper charges a one-time fee of US$9 for access to prepare one response pack for one CP2000 notice. The price is shown to you before you are charged. A separate notice or a separate response pack requires a new payment. Access terms and pricing may be changed or withdrawn at any time; any change applies only to future purchases.
Before you generate your response pack, the fee is fully refundable on request. Once the response pack has been generated, refunds are limited to billing errors or a technical failure to deliver what you paid for (for example, you were charged but access did not activate, or you were charged more than once for the same notice). Because the tool is educational only and does not guarantee any IRS outcome, we do not refund based on how the IRS responds to your notice.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor, Stripe. To request a refund, use our support page and include the email you used at checkout; do not include full financial-account numbers.
"As is"; no warranties
This service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CP2000 Helper and the people who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any additional tax, penalties, interest, lost savings, or lost data, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use CP2000 Helper in the three months before the claim or US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or jurisdiction in which the operator of CP2000 Helper is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be handled in the courts located there — except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Scope (v1)
This version supports IRS CP2000 notices only. If you upload a different notice type, the tool will tell you and will not generate a response.

You may delete your data at any time via the "Delete my data" button in the page footer on any session-scoped page.
